Award-Winning Singer-Songwriter, Music Producer, and Composer for Film, Television and Theatre
Daniel Salomon is one of Israel’s most acclaimed and respected musicians — an award-winning singer-songwriter, pianist, music producer, arranger, and composer for film, television and theatre.
Since 1998, he has performed, arranged, and produced music for many of Israel’s leading artists, including Aviv Geffen, Shlomo Artzi, Ivri Lider, and numerous others.
He was also a member of Blackfield, the internationally renowned musical project founded by Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree and Aviv Geffen, contributing as a pianist, vocalist, arranger, and producer.
In 2003, Salomon released his self-titled debut album, Daniel Salomon, which received widespread critical acclaim and earned him the prestigious ACUM Golden Feather Award.
His second solo album, Many Ways, was released in 2005, achieved Gold Album status, and remains regarded as one of the most celebrated albums in contemporary Israeli music.
Since then, Salomon has released seven studio albums and a live concert album, establishing an extensive and highly regarded body of work.
Several of his best-known singles have become modern Israeli classics and rank among the most frequently played songs on Israeli radio over the past 25 years.
Alongside his career as a recording and performing artist, Salomon has composed original scores and songs for numerous films and documentaries, including Perfect Strangers, The Secrets, and Someone to Run With.
His television work includes the internationally acclaimed Netflix series The Beauty Queen of Jerusalem.
He has also composed music and songs for major stage productions, including adaptations of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons and S. Y. Agnon’s A Simple Story, presented by prestigious theatrical institutions in Israel and the United Kingdom.
His outstanding contribution to the performing arts has earned him the Israeli Theatre Award twice.
A graduate of the Art High School in Haifa, Salomon studied classical piano at the Dunie Weizmann Conservatory and the Rubin Conservatory.
Having begun writing his own music and lyrics at the age of twelve, he later pursued studies in composition at the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music.
He also studied orchestration and conducting under Professor Yitzhak Sadai, one of Israel’s most distinguished composers and music educators.
Today, Daniel Salomon continues to create and collaborate from his studios in Tel Aviv and Berlin, working across a broad range of musical projects as a singer-songwriter, composer, arranger, pianist, and producer.
His work combines artistic depth, emotional sensitivity, and exceptional musical craftsmanship, securing his place as a distinctive and influential voice in Israeli music.
